Hugh Mills
Hickory Flat – Hugh Talmadge Mills, 88, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020. He was born September 24, 1931 in Potts Camp to George and Carrie Whiteside Mills. He was a graduate of Hickory Flat High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired from South Central Bell after thirty years. When he was able he enjoyed horses and going on trail rides. He enjoyed working, whether bush-hogging, mowing, keeping his pasture up, or anything else that kept him busy. He was a member of Ebenezer Methodist Church in Myrtle.
Graveside services will be at 1:00p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2020 at McKay Cemetery with Bro. Eugene Stockstill officiating. United Funeral Service is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Davis and Rose Ann Jones (Terry); two sons, David Mills (Darlene) and Ronnie Mills (Therese); one brother, Clinton Mills (Gail); eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marie Goolsby Mills; one sister and four brothers.
