Irvin Lee Trantham, 97, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020, at his Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born January 23, 1923, to Amon and Jessie Trantham. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a letter carrier for the USPS. He enjoyed gardening, flea markets and spending time with his family.
A private graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 30, 2020, at Jumpertown Cemetery with Bro. Michael Shook officiating. Services are under the direction of McMillan Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Loie Jean Trantham; two sons, Terry (Angie) Trantham and Tommy (Tracey) Trantham; two daughters, Pam (Randy) Scoggins and Patricia (Wes) Smith; four grandchildren, Beth (Marcus) Threadgill, Jennie (Michael) Clayton, Kristin Whitley and Hunter (Ashlynne) Trantham; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
