Mrs. Nadine Oswalt Franklin, 89, died Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at The Pinnacle in Greenville, MS. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home in Oxford, MS with Rev. Fish Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. The visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 A.M.

Born in Choctaw County, MS to the late Houston C. and Hilda Fultz Oswalt, Nadine moved to Greenville, MS after graduating from Eupora High School and married her husband, Hollis (Frank) Franklin in 1950. She retired from the Loan Office with Greenville Production Credit. Nadine was well known for her coconut pies. She enjoyed sharing time and drinking coffee with her friends, traveling and flying on planes. Mrs. Franklin was a member of Community Church in Oxford, MS. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by  her husband, Hollis (Frank) Franklin and her son, Marc Franklin.

Mrs. Franklin is survived by two sons, Terry Franklin (fiancée-Susan) of Greenville, MS and Rick Franklin (Sandy) of Pensacola, FL; a brother, Wayne Oswalt of Grenada, MS; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Mrs. Franklin’s memory may be made to Community Church Oxford, 68 HWY 334, Oxford, MS 38655.

  1. Dear Franklin family, you have my deepest condolences during this time of bereavement. The loss of a loved one can be hard to deal with but you can have a measure of comfort and it comes from Gods word the bible. 2Corinthians 1:3,4 says that “God comforts us in all our trials.” Isn’t that wonderful to know and Acts 24:15 says “There is going to be a resurrection” so you can see your loved one again. I hope this was encouraging to the family.
