Floyd J. Reed, 70, of Jumpertown died Sunday August 2, 2020, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, Ms. He was born on September 6, 1949 in Prentiss County to Marshall Reed and Ruby Fuller Reed. He enjoyed yard work and working on things. He also enjoyed listening to music, especially gospel and blue grass. He also really enjoyed spending time with his family and special friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, August 6, 2020, at Booneville Funeral Home with Bro. Rex Bullock officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 until service time on Thursday. Burial will be in Jumpertown Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his 3 children, Floyd “Junior” (Lisa) Reed of Pinewood, South Carolina, Kim (Derek) Edwards of Vernon, AL, and Elisha (Carl) Damone of Vernon, AL, his grandchildren, Kendrick, Kolson, Jace, Emma, Rileigh, Browning, Axle, and Ian, all of Vernon, AL, Blake (Christian) Baxley, Brandon (Taylor) Baxley and Brynn Baxley all of Pinewood, South Carolina. 1 great-grandchild, Braiden Baxley of Pinewood, South Carolina. He is also survived by his brothers, Kenneth (Kathy) Reed, Billy Reed, Joe (Kathy) Reed and 1 sister Carolyn Michaels. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and several very special friends including Annette Strange and Angie Eades.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Beatrice Reed and Shirley Plaxico and a brother Jimmy Dale Reed. Also 2 brothers-in-law Hardy Plaxico and Harold Michaels.
Pallbearers will be Angie Eades, Annette Strange, Rita Plaxico, Kolson Million, Kendrick Million and Ian Miller. Honorary pallbearers are Jace Miller, Browning Hulon, Axle Edwards, (Boo) Brenda Davis, Pearl Prentiss and Sheila Settlemire.
