Funeral service for Junior J. W. Thrasher, 80, are set for 1:00 pm Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Ray Vuncannon officiating. Burial will be in the Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 and Thursday from 11:00 to service time.

Junior died August 11, 2020 at his residence. He was born February 21, 1940 in Tippah Co. MS to the late William and Velma Thrasher. He was a retired factory worker, logger and forestry service. He enjoyed mowing his yard, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Mitchell Thrasher, W. C. Thrasher, Pad Thrasher, and Roger Dale Thrasher.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mattie Thrasher; son Ricky Thrasher; (Kim) daughters, Pam Ford, Lisa Sipes; sister, Dorothy Mills; grandchildren, Wesley Thrasher (Katie), Amy Richardson (Josh), Chelsea Davis (Wes), Brandon Sipes, Ariel Lambert (Dylan), Chasta Ford; eight great grandchildren, Brodie Thrasher, Laynee Thrasher, Halle Thrasher, Rhett Thrasher, Jase Richardson, Kage Richardson, Andi Kate Davis, Saylor Davis; host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers: Wesley Thrasher, Wes Davis, Greg Ford, Dylan Lambert, Josh Richardson, and Clayton Mills.

Honorary pallbearers: Jeremy Thrasher, Dewayne Thrasher, Brandon Sipes, and Lynn Thrasher.
