Mrs. Margaret Rea Morgan, 59, transitioned on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.
Margaret Rea Morgan -Thomas “Biddy” was born April 26, 1961 to the late Roosevelt Morgan, Sr. and Mattie B. Brown in Michigan City, MS.
Margaret accepted Christ at an early age at Palestine Church in Michigan City, MS, and later moved her membership to Greenwood Baptist Church of Ashland, MS.
Margaret had a few hobbies she enjoyed which included cooking, being a custodian in the Benton County Schools, taking care of her grandchildren and shopping.
Margaret was a great mother, grandmother and friend to everyone she knew. She loved her family and friends dearly. She will be missed by many for her kind heart and loving spirit.
Margaret was united in holy matrimony to Charlie F. Thomas, Sr. on February 2, 2019.
Margaret leaves to cherish her husband: Charlie F. Thomas of Ashland, MS; four sons: Kenneth Morgan, Anthony (Sonya) Morgan, and Terrance (Jessica) Morgan of Ashland, MS; Keith (Tammie) Morgan of Ripley, MS; one daughter: LaKeisha Morgan of Ashland, MS, three stepchildren: Eric Thomas, Charlie Thomas, Jr., Annie Thomas of Ashland, MS; three brothers: Roosevelt (Bonnie) Morgan, Sr. of Holly Springs, MS; Walter (Anita) Morgan, Joseph (Crystal) Morgan of Ripley, MS, three sisters: Mattie Mae Morgan of Memphis, TN, Ethel Hampton of Lamar, MS, Vaitor (Eddie) Joyner of Lamar, MS, two godchildren: Broderick Holbert of Atlanta, GA and Taniya Smith of New Albany, MS, a special niece “Skylar,” a good friend “Ruth Ross” and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents: Roosevelt Morgan, Sr. and Mattie B. Morgan, four brothers, three sisters and one grandchild.
Private Graveside Service will be held just for the immediate family. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Holly Springs is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 16, 2020 from 4-6 p.m. at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Springs.
