Mr. Billy Wayne Lamb, 64, died Saturday, August 22, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North MS in Oxford. The memorial service will be Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Don Gann and Rev. Jeff Holeman officiating. Visitation will be Monday, August 24, 2020, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. in West Hall at Waller Funeral Home and again prior to the service beginning at 10:00 A.M. A graveside service will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery.

Born in Oxford, MS, Billy was a longtime and active member of First Baptist Church where he served the youth group as the Minister of Food and assisted in the Wednesday night kitchen group.  In 2017, Billy retired as Director of Building and Grounds form the City of Oxford and served as a Lafayette County Supervisor from 2004-2008. He was a beloved and valued member of his community, a friend to all, a proud father and grandfather and a devoted husband. Above all, Billy loved his Lord and the family finds great joy knowing he was welcomed into his Heavenly home by his son, Jeremy Wayne Lamb. In addition to his son, he was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Leon and Eunice Miller Lamb and a brother, Herschel Leon Lamb.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Willard Lamb of Oxford, MS; two brothers, James Louie Lamb of Oxford, MS and Joseph Lynn Lamb of Senatobia, MS and his grandson, William Wayne Lamb of Mt. Juliet, TN.
