Betty Jean Austin of Toccopola won her battle with Parkinsons on August 24, 2020. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by those that love her. She was retired from the Pontotoc County Tax office. She was a 1965 graduate of Randolph High School and always enjoyed the annual reunions with her classmates. She enjoyed sewing, spending time with her grandchildren and animals.
Services will be at 2:00pm Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at Carey Springs Baptist Church. Bro. Wayne Ward will officiate. Burial will be in the County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors-son-Brent Austin (Stephanie), their son Landon Long and Gracie Austin; daughter-Cyndi Hyland (Michael) and their 4 children-Collin Hyland (Penny), Justin Hyland (Megan), Breanna Hyland (Fiance Chris Jordon) and Alayna Hyland; great grandson-Luke Connor Jordon; also a special friend, confidant and caregiver for the last few years, Tiffany Brown.
Preceded in death by-her parents-Jessie and Jonnie Tackett and a infant daughter Robin Michelle Austin.
Pallbearers-grandsons-Collin Hyland, Justin Hyland and Landon Long and special friends Michael Morris, James Brown and Keith Whitaker.
Visitation: 12:00pm until service time Wednesday, August 26, 2020
