Celebration of Life service for Larry J. Byrd, 78, are set for 2:00 pm, Monday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Zack Howell and Bro. James Hasell officiating. Family will receive friends Monday from 2:00 to service time. Mask and social distance guide line will be in place.

Larry died September 5, 2020 at his residence, after a lengthy illness. He was born January 20, 1942 in Alcorn Co. MS, to the late Laury and Hazel Byrd. He attended Biggersville High School. He worked for Harris Steel in Cicero, IL, before moving back to Corinth. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters; Lois, Patricia, Dolly, Lita and brothers; John and Hubert.

Larry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty Sue Wallace Byrd; daughters, Lisa Smith, Penny Green, Bridgette Mason (Doug); grandchildren, Robert “Rob” Nelms (Tracy), Nick Burcham, Christy Austin (Danny), Becky Nolan (Chris), Beth Bain, Sarah Bain (Trey); great grandchildren, Alysa Nolan, Emily Nolan, Gracie Nolan, Ariah Bain, Shyla Dae Ross, Acia Trey Clark, Ava Love Clark, Ethan Nelms, Christian Nelms, Kobe Bain, Alexander Bain, Jackson Nolan, Jasen Wiginton, Mason Harvill, Bo Burcham, Macey Hall; sisters, Nora Lee Leatherwood; brother-in-law, Billy Wallace (Bonnie); special niece, Chena Little and best friend, John Smith; and host of other family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be his great grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to American Cancer Society.
