PONTOTOC – Artie Otha "Jackie" Towery, 77, passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 at Pontotoc Extended Care. Jackie was born November 3, 1942 in Lambert, MS. He worked in furniture manufacturing and was a farm and car mechanic.
Jackie is survived by his wife, Alma Nell Ray Towery; his sister, Thelma Plunk; three nephews, Jay Plunk, Carlton Plunk, and Jeffery Plunk; many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ezra Van Norman and Lubye Evelyn Foster Towery; and a nephew, David Plunk.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 11AM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc. Visitation will begin at 10AM continuing until service time.
