Frances Irene Gandy Brasher, age 82, died at her home in Drasco, AR surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Lorene Dessaline Ganger Gandy and William Elvis Gandy in Paris, MS. Frances fulfilled her dream of becoming a nurse, and her passion for nursing has inspired other family members to follow in her footsteps. She was happily married to Ernest Wayne Brasher for 64 years. Frances was talented in oil painting, and was an avid reader. She enjoyed gardening, trees, and planting flowers, but her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 3 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Burial will be in Paris Cemetery in Paris, MS.
Frances is survived by her husband, Ernest Wayne Brasher of Drasco, AR; one son, Gregory Wayne Brasher and his wife Sharion; one daughter, Sonja Morman Thompson and her husband, Tyson; one sister, Myra Maxine Hurley; two brothers, Walter Earl Gandy and his wife Ruby Faye, and Carl Dean Gandy; ten grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
