Louise Oliver

Amory – Louise Oliver, 84, began her new life in Heaven on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. Born on May 11, 1936, in Aberdeen, she was a daughter of the late Jefferson Manuel “J.M.” Coplin and Leona Dodd Copeland.

Louise grew up in Monroe County and attended school in Bigbee, MS and Hamilton, MS. She went to work at an early age, helping support her family as she picked and hoed the cotton crops for many years. She also worked planting peanut crops. Louise married the love of her life, Hershel on July 5, 1952, and together they were blessed with five children.

She was a loving devoted Christian woman that served God first and then her family with all she had. She was proud of her walk with Jesus and receiving the Holy Ghost. She was a member of People’s Tabernacle Church in Sulligent, AL and she loved her church family. Daily she used her Bible as the roadmap for her life. Louise lived for God with all she had and her walk with Christ was evident to all that met her.

She was caring, never spoke bad of anyone, never condoned sin or anything that would be unpleasing to God. In her free time, she enjoyed reading the Bible and fellowshipping with her very large family and friends. Louise loved to listen to Gospel music and simply worship her Savior anywhere. She was one of the best dessert cooks as she made heavenly pecan pies, chocolate oatmeal cookies, and fudge. She was thankful to God for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.

Louise loved Jesus and she looked forward to going home to Heaven one day as she was the last living sibling in her family. Her family will miss her dearly yet they know she is in the presence of Glory now.

Left behind to treasure the memories are her daughters, Barbara Williams (Sam), Gattman, Darlene Kelton (Jerry), Booneville, Glenda McCullar, Amory, Harryette Gosa (Jeff), Greenwood Springs; son, Dewey Oliver (Tina), Hatley; grandchildren, Joe Williams, Nadine Randolph, Reba Guyton, Charlene Holt, Craig Coxey (Tonia), Michael Coxey (Ashley), Keith McCullar, Mickey McCullar (Brittany), Billy McCullar(Heather) , Jon McCullar (Shana), Bryanna Oliver, Libby Gosa; 3 step grandchildren, Chris Kelton, Dee Kelton Faulkner, and Jennifer Smith; 22 great-grandchildren; 14 step great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 3 step great-great-grandchildren; special nephew, John “Pick” Pickle (Sharon), Chicago, IL; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Louise Summerford, Carol Fulton, Faye & Rodney Collier; Reverend Philip and Sister Donna Blaylock.
