James “Gary” Southern, 63, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was born January 2, 1957 to James Stanley Southern and Syble Tennyson Southern. Gary was an employee at Plumrose in Booneville, MS. He was liked by everyone. The thing Gary liked the most was spending time with his family and helping his siblings take care of their parents. During his free time, one could find Gary watching sports.

A Celebration of Life will be at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, September 26, 2020, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Hill and Bro. Jerry Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park.

He is survived by one brother, Brian Southern; and one sister, Darlene Nicholson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother-in-law, Sidney Nicholson.

Honorary pallbearers are his coworkers at Plumrose.

Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
