Lewis Redwine

September 2, 1930 – October 19, 2020

Lewis Redwine, Jr. of Coffeeville, MS died peacefully at his home on October 19, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born to the late Lewis Manuel Redwine, Sr and Vera Idele Winters on September 2, 1930 in Benwood, MS. Lewis quit school to go to work and help the family as a young man. He worked for Yalobusha county as a gravel truck driver and also for the city of Coffeeville as a maintenance worker. He enjoyed gardening, raising chickens and guineas, and deer hunting with the Scuna Deer Club. He was especially good on his guitar and played harmonica as well. Lewis was a Baptist and was a member of the Coffeeville Volunteer Fire Department.

A graveside service will be held at New Hope Cemetery outside of Coffeeville at 11:00 AM on October 21, 2020. Visitation will be from 10 AM until service time at the gravesite. Bro. Adelbert Adcock will officiate the service.

Lewis is survived by his wife of 61 years, Eva Woods Redwine of Coffeeville, MS; three daughters, Pamela Redwine of Greenwood, MS, Norma Farmer (Tim) of Coffeeville, MS, and Priscilla Stanford (Brent) of Coffeeville, MS; one sister, Jessie "Lucy" Wright (John) of Coffeeville, MS; one brother, Billy Redwine of Coffeeville, MS; four grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren, and a special family friend, Daniel Robinson.

He was preceded in death by a son, William "Bubba" Redwine; two sisters, Cornelia Redwine and Louise Easley; and four brothers, Edward "Fats" Redwine, James Redwine, Luther "Buddy" Redwine, and Eerie Redwine.
