A memorial service to celebrate the life of Clyde Hollis, 78, will be held Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Shane McGivney officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time. Masks and social distancing will be required.
Mr. Clyde passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born September 24, 1942 in Chalybeate, MS to the late Leland and Inez Hollis. He was a member of Belden Baptist Church. He loved the opportunities of teaching Sunday school at Traceway Retirement Home, greeting fellow members and guests, and driving the church shuttle.
Clyde is survived by his wife, Phyllis Hollis; sons Allen Hollis (Diane) of Jackson, TN, David Hollis of Dyersburg, TN, and Toby Hollis (Mary) of Tupelo; grandchildren Stephanie Uselton (Brandon) of Medina, TN; Jacob Hollis (Megan) of Walls, MS; Anna Hollis of Medina, TN; Cole Hollis of Martin, TN; Lana "LaLa" Hollis of Tupelo; and Kyle Kirk of Memphis, TN; and three great-grandchildren Sadie, Millie and Alania Uselton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Katlyn Paige Hollis and a grandson, John Trey Kirk.
