Services to celebrate the life of Morris Wayne Sims, 69, will be held Tuesday at 4:00 PM with Dr. Leonard Pratt and Bro. Warren Jones officiating. Burial to follow in Holly Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until service time. Masks and social distancing guide lines will be in place.
Mr. Morris died on October 24, 2020 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born in Chicago, IL on March 9, 1951 to the late David and Ophelia Sims. He was an electrician and plumber with IBM. He enjoyed collecting old cars, trucks, and Harley Davidsons.
He is survived by his significant other, Marilyn Albrecht; daughter, Sherry Sims (Rickey); step-daughters, Vickey Leonard (James) and Mary Brashier; grandchildren, Tamra Schermer (Justin), Nathan Benjamin, Addison Benjamin, Lucas Leonard, Trinity Ferrell; and a great-grandson, Maverick Schermer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-children, Jennifer Ferrell and Buster Harrill; brother, Mike Sims; and a sister, Judy Volpak.
