Dorothy “Doris” Freda Vinson, 87, died Monday, November 2, 2020, at Tallahatchie Extended Care Facility in Charleston, MS. The graveside service for Ms. Vinson will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020, at 2:00 P.M at Oxford Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Ronnie Dickinson officiating.

Born to the late Henry and Mary Elizabeth Vinson, Ms. Vinson retired from Baptist Memorial Hospital North-Mississippi where she was a Surgical Technician. She was an active member at Temple Heights Baptist Church in Oxford, MS and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruby Hall and three brothers, J. Preston Vinson, Garvin Vinson and C. Wade Vinson.

Ms. Vinson is survived by her daughters, Deborah Shankle and her husband, Benny of Taylor, MS, and Karen Jones and her husband, Pat of Goodman, MS; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
