Douglas Glenn Heath, 80, of Starkville, MS went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2020.

A celebration of life and burial will be held at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Carrollton, MS on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. All friends and family are invited to attend.

Glenn was born July 5, 1940 to Holland and Onyx Heath. In a revival service at Liberty Baptist church, he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Glenn graduated from J. Z. George High School and in the summer of 1958, he enrolled at Mississippi State University to study livestock and agriculture. He married Carolyn Reves of Grenada in 1964 and they moved to Starkville. Glenn managed to earn a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from MSU while continuing to work full time. He and Carolyn were blessed with two sons, Ben and Tim. They also were blessed with five grandchildren: Courtney, Camryn, Adam, Terra, and Treasure.

Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Holland and Onyx Heath, wife Carolyn Heath, sister Margaret Lester, brothers Bob Heath and Earl Heath, and son Tim Heath.

He is survived by his eldest son, Ben Heath of Starkville, brother, Bruce Heath of Carrollton, sister, Mary Ann Heath of California, and all 5 grandchildren.

Glenn was a long-time member and deacon of First Baptist Church Starkville. He was involved in foreign missions in Ecuador, Honduras, and Peru. In Starkville, his mission work included helping to construct several Habitat for Humanity homes. Glenn loved God, his family, and his friends.

In lieu of the traditional food for the family or flowers for the service, the family asks that you make a monetary donation to the Berean Sunday School class at FBC Starkville to help honor Glenn’s memory and continue his dedication to the mission field.
