SHANNON – Sylvia Jane Harris died on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at her home in Shannon, Mississippi. She was 63. Sylvia was born on July 4, 1957 in Waxahachie, Texas to Charles Ray Coppedge and Lois Josephine Thomas. She married Michael James Harris on May 5, 1978 in Durant, Oklahoma. She graduated from Sherman High School in Sherman, Texas and also attended college at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma where she studied Business.

She was a homemaker and also enjoyed being a vendor at flea markets. She loved spending time with her family and her little dog Rosie. She was an avid collector of many things over the years. She liked shopping at yard sales and thrift shops. She enjoyed playing video and computer games in her spare time. She was generous, and she loved giving little gifts and always had something for you when you came to visit or when she visited you she brought something. She was surely one of a kind and will be dearly missed every single day.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Harris of Shannon, MS; her mother, Lois Coppedge of Ardmore, OK; her two daughters, Cheryl Sterling Dillow (Dustin) of Moulton, AL, and Lois Ann Harris (Steve) of Shannon, MS; six granddaughters, Amber Davis, Tory Davis, Erica Dillow, all of Moulton, AL, and Katlin Jones, Ashley Jones, Alexis Jones, all of Shannon, MS; two grandsons, Sean Jones and Michael Jones, both of Shannon, MS; four great-grandchildren, Aaron Davis of Tupelo, MS, Oliver Hall of Moulton, AL, Elizabeth Lee and Elena Lee, both of Shannon, MS; her sisters, Bonnie Diggs and Deborah McLarty, and a brother, Leslie Paul Coppedge, all of Ardmore, OK; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Ray Coppedge; her sisters, Carolyn Shelton and Donna Light; a brother, David Coppedge; her grandson, Jeffery Kyle Davis; and a granddaughter, Olivia Marie Dillow.

The family will hold a private visitation followed by cremation. She will be laid to rest at Ecru Cemetery in Ecru, MS. Holland Funeral Directors – Tupelo Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements.
