Dr. Charles “Charlie” Richard Faust, 76, died Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. The graveside service will be Saturday, November 14th at 3:00 PM at Eastover Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Ron Province officiating.
Born on July 6, 1944, to the late William Upson and Mary Allene Miles Faust, Dr. Faust was a retired Baptist pastor. He was a member of Eastgate Baptist Church in Greenwood, MS and former pastor of Traceland Baptist Church in Verona, MS. He was a Hospice Chaplin with North MS Hospice and a Chaplin at North MS Medical Center. North MS Medical Center honored him as Chaplin of the Year in 2020. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria Kelley and Clara Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Zenda Faust of Tupelo, MS; his daughter, Christy Powell and her husband, Richard, of Carrollton, MS; four sisters, Nancy Smith, Carol Thweatt, Billie Hudgins all of Oxford, MS and Nona Crater of Victoria, TX; three brothers, Harvey Faust of Olive Branch, MS, Vernon Faust of Oxford, MS and Kenny Faust of Arlington, TX; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two aunts, Jeffie Dacus and Bettye Galloway and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
