Timothy Scott Pruitt

Mr. Timothy Scott Pruitt, 59, died Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at his home in Oxford, MS. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020, at 1:00 P.M. at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon at the church. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Lance Corporal Pruitt was born in Winston Salem, NC to the late Raymond Scott and Phyllis Smith Pruitt and proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. He continued his service with other veterans participating in the Marine Corp League. He was a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church where he previously served as a Deacon.  Mr. Pruitt witnessed to others through the prison ministry, Kairos.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Bruce Pruitt of Oxford, MS; two daughters, Shelby Diane Horner and her husband, James of Winona, MS and Savannah Rhea Pruitt of Oxford; a sister Dana Pruitt of Chattanooga, TN; a brother, Patrick Pruitt of Kansas City, MO and a grandson, Marshall Grey Horner.
