Mrs. Marilyn Lucille Rutledge, 68, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn Nelson officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon.  Burial will follow in Shipp Cemetery.

Born in Nashville, TN to the late John Henry and Dorothy Sandidge Upchurch, Mrs. Rutledge worked as a transcriptionist for Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation. She was a member of Anchor Baptist Church, enjoyed all animals and loved flowers and gardening.

She is survived by two sons, Eric Wheatley and his wife, Jennifer of Hermitage, TN and Austin Rutledge of Joplin, MO; a brother, John Franklin Upchurch of Water Valley, MS and a grandchild, Cory Wheatley of Cordova, TN.
