Charlotte Huddleston Deaton (78) passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at her home. She was born July 25,1942 in Memphis, TN to Granville and Edith Melton Huddleston. She married Thomas Deaton on July 1, 1960 and they have lived in Thrasher, MS for the past 60 years. Charlotte enjoyed life, especially a good book and going, well, just about anywhere. She had a lifelong love of learning and history and was a proud member of Thrasher Baptist Church. Her life was a testament to her faith, a loving friend to all, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and cousin.

Charlotte is survived by her husband, Thomas Deaton of Booneville; her daughter, Sherry Deaton Cole (Joe) of  Bells, TN; her son, Bobby Deaton (Kelli) of Saltillo; her brothers, Larry Huddleston (Betty) and Gary Huddleston (Donna) both of Booneville; her sister, Debbie Huddleston of Olive Branch; her granddaughter, Kristina Stanfill of Bells, TN and her grandson, Josh Deaton of Saltillo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Norma Huddleston Church and her brother, Terry Wayne Huddleston.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Thrasher Baptist Church with Bro. Shane Evetts officiating. Burial will follow in the Booneville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday December 2, 2020 at the church.
