Willie Lee “Bub” Marion Sr, age 91, of Coffeeville, MS departed this life Monday, November 30, 2020, at Greenwood LeFlore Hospital in Greenwood, MS. He was born September 5, 1929, in Yalobusha County to the late Ed and Mollie Marion. He joined Zion Springs Baptist Church in Bruce, MS at a young age. “Bub” was married to the late Clydie Mae Wade-Marion, and to this union four children were born. He worked as a maintenance foreman for the railroad for over thirty years. “Bub” was a down to earth man with a great sense of humor. A man whose focus was on his work and the family that he dearly loved.

A wake is planned for Friday, December 4, 2020, in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM in Coffeeville City Cemetery with Bro. Marvin Horton officiating.

Cherishing the loving memories of their father are, Carolyn Ann Armstrong of Bruce, MS, Sandra (Marvin) Horton of Coffeeville, MS, Peggy (Melvin) Williams of Riverdale, GA, and Willie Marion, Jr, of Bruce, MS; four grandchildren, that he adored, Vincent, Kristopher, Maia and Kylan (his Tay Tay); one sister, Mattie Marion Armstrong; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Along with his parents, “Bub” was preceded in death by two sisters, and four brothers.
