Mr. Henry Lee Buggs, 70, transitioned on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at his residence in Houlka, MS.
Henry “Hen” Lee Buggs was born July 19, 1950, to the late Mike Buggs and Odell Huggins Buggs in Houlka, Mississippi. He was born the 4th child of five children.
Henry graduated from Chickasaw County High School in 1968. That same year he was united in holy matrimony to Earnestine Moore Buggs and to this union two children were born: Carolyn Buggs Levy (Johnnie Levy) and Maurice Buggs (Lashunda Golden Buggs).
Throughout the years, he has worked for the Railroad, Ceramic Tile, Dixie Land Manufacturing & Leggett and Platt. Henry was a very intelligent man, skilled in carpentry, plumbing, electricity and farming. He enjoyed working with his hands and watching WWE Wrestling.
Henry departed this life on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family,
Henry is preceded in death by his parents: Mike Buggs and Odell Huggins Buggs, two siblings: Wallace Buggs & Robert Buggs.
Henry’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, six grandchildren: Patrick Edmond, Jamesha Word Sorrell, Zachary Buggs, Mekella Buggs, Johnathan Levy and Trinity Buggs, three great grandchildren: Ashton Edmond, Charleigh Sorrell & Carter Sorrell, one sister: Bobbie Naugle (Curtis Naugle), one brother: Tommie Buggs, three devoted friends: David Parker, Albert Rayford, Eugene Beaty, a host nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 from 4-6p.m., at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc. Burial will take place at Thompson Chapel Church Cemetery (East County Line Cemetery) Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
