Linda Marie Sockwell Mize, 66, died Monday, December 14, 2020, at Oxford Health & Rehab in Oxford, MS. The memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home on Thursday, December 17, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Buster Wilson officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 12:30 until service time.

Born in Oxford, MS to the late Bobby and Shirley Marie Clark Sockwell, she spent her childhood living in many places all over the United States and New Foundland as her family followed her father’s military career. Family was the most important part of Linda’s life and she had a great love for her grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. She was a talented artist and enjoyed painting and crafting. Linda held a special place in her heart for all animals and especially loved her dog, Lucky who died a few months ago. Linda’s family was blessed by her nurturing personality that made everyone feel loved and cared for.  She was considered by many as a “mom to all”.

She is survived by her son, Charles Mize and his wife, Brooke of Oxford, MS; two brothers, Robert Sockwell of Oxford, MS and David Sockwell of Moss Point, MS; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
