Christy Ann Poynor, age 50, of Coffeeville, MS passed from this life Thursday December 17, 2020, at her home with family by her side. She was born August 29, 1970, in Greenwood, MS to the late Eula and Nancy (Glenn) French. Christy worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Grenada Living Center up until her decision to stay home to serve her family. She had a tremendous heart for serving people and making sure things we done to her satisfaction. Christy’s favorite pasttime was to watch the Christmas shows and movies that are very popular this time of year.

Visitation is planned for Monday, December 21, 2020, in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Elbert McKnight officiating. Burial will be at Elam Cemetery in Coffeeville with Jimmy Dukes, John Dukes, John Dukes, Jake Rose, Michael French, Jacob French, Tommy Poynor, and Daniel Beavers serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be James Fletcher and Aaron Poynor.

Christy is survived her husband, Robert Leard; two sons, Tommy Poynor (Kim) of Coffeeville, MS, and Robby Leard (Chestin) of Water Valley, MS; one daughter, Rossalan Leard of Coffeeville, MS; one sister, Kathy Dukes (John) of Tillatoba, MS; and two grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Christy was preceded in death by one brother, Randy French.

Here the Bible speaks of a time when God will do away with all the terrible things we endure today, including death. Yes, God has promised to rid the earth of all pain and suffering we endure today.
