J.C. Aaron

July 8, 1943 – December 26, 2020

JC Aaron Sr, 77, of Pontotoc, MS went home from this world on December 26th, 2020.  Services will be held privately at the Aaron’s family cemetery. Pastor JJ McVay of New Hope Baptist Church will be officiating.

JC was born in Lafayette County on July 8th, 1943.  He was the youngest of 11 children born by Dorothy and George Washington Aron.  He graduated from Randolph school and pursued a career in manufacturing.  Instilled by his father, Pastor George Washington, JC was a man of God through and through. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Pontotoc, MS, which he attended faithfully with his beloved wife, Sue Aaron.  Later in life, JC developed a zealous passion for electronics and became an avid and capable tinker.  He also had a love of camping and being outdoors.  To this day, many trips are recalled fondly by his family and grandchildren.  All his life, JC allowed his hands and body to work, and his mind to wonder.

JC is survived by his children JC Aaron, Jr. (Tammy) of Pontotoc, Randy Aaron (Hazel) of Houlka, Ronnie Aaron (Melissa) of Randolph and Anthony Aaron (Brenda) of Pontotoc; his two sisters, Dorothy McDonald of Auburn, AL, and Lois (Keith) Matkins of Pontotoc, MS; son in law, Rodney Goree; as well as many grandkids and great grandkids.

JC is preceded in death by his wife, Sue Weldon Aaron; daughter, Debbie Aaron Goree, parents, George Washington and Dorothy Luker Aaron; sister, Mary Waldo White; brothers, George Jr., Ekoy Aron, Cecil Aron, L.V. Aron, Leroy Aaron, Q.T. Aron; and Baby Aron.

Pallbearers are David Miller, Jay Goree, Nathan Aaron, Justin Miller, Dontae Goree, and Adam Aaron.

The family of JC Aaron wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes.  Also, a special thanks to the caregivers at Pontotoc Extended Care for his peaceful transition.
