Ruby Mae Massey Wilemon, 77, passed away December 29, 2020, at Regional One Health Medical Center in Memphis, TN. Ruby was born in Booneville, MS, December 02, 1943, to James William Massey and Gladys Whitaker Massey. She loved her family and friends fiercely. She was passionate about working in her yard. Ruby loved her flowers. She loved listening to the Gaither Vocal Band, watching Bro. John Hagee and Bro. Charles Stanley on tv. Her constant companion was her beloved dog, Bandit II. She retired as an LPN. Ms Wilemon was a member of Rienzi Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, William Wilemon, Jr. and Ricky Wilemon (Brenda) of Booneville, MS; daughter, Kellie Shadburn (Roger) of Rienzi, MS; brothers, David Massey (Joy) and Tommy Massey (Brenda); grandsons, Cary Bennett (Amber); Christopher Shadburn (Kindra), Elijah Shadburn (Natalie), Wesley Shadburn and William Shadburn; granddaughter, Andrea Henderson (Jamie), Brandy Foster (Brian), Courtney Jones (Terrence); great-grandchildren, Hunter Foster, Matthew West, Josh Bennett, Colton Bennett, Kayden Henderson, Garrett Shadburn, Gibson Shadburn, Aubrey Bennett, Miley Taylor, Emily “Chica” Foster, Emersyn Shadburn and Presley “Pretty” West; a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Roy Wilemon, Sr; and great-grandson, Colton “Miles” Taylor.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 31, 2020, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Booneville Funeral Home. Funeral service for Ms Wilemon will be held at 2:00 PM in the Chapel. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Trimble, Roger Shadburn, Christopher Shadburn, Elijah Shadburn, James Wesley Shadburn, and William Shadburn. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Macias, Alan Prentiss, Ken Ryder, Cary Bennett, Terrence Jones, Brian Foster, Junior Eaton and Jamie Henderson.
