Celebration of life service for Ollie Mae Rutherford, 82, is set for 1:00 pm Tuesday at Tuscumbia Baptist Church with burial at Tuscumbia Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday 11 am until service time at the church. Bro. Rodney Whittemore and Bro. Craig Wilbanks will officiate.
Mrs. Rutherford died January 2, 2021 at her residence. She was born May 7, 1938 in Alcorn Co., MS to the late Chris Dixon and Leana Wooten Dixon. She was a member of Tuscumbia Baptist Church, she had worked at Wurlitzer, where she made many friends. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister and a granddaughter.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years L.C. Rutherford; son, Phillip (Deb) Rutherford; daughters, Debbie (Jay) Hinton and Cynthia Rutherford; grandchildren, Daryl (Monica) Thrasher and Christopher (Crystal) Crum; and great-grandchildren, Kristen, Chris, Maisie, Tyler, Daryl-Anna, Audrey Anna and J.P.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Crum, Jimmy Crum, Timmy Wilbanks, Stanley Horton, William Butler, Randall Pittman and Sammy Thorn.
