Betty Doler White

August 12, 1933 – January 11, 2021

Betty Jean Doler White, 87, of Calhoun City passed from this on January 11, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Calhoun City. She was born on August 12, 1933, in Winona to her late parents, Jasper Doler and Pearl Inez Wray Doler.

Betty, a lady with a sweet disposition, married the late Lenon Ray White and they spent many wonderful seasons of life together before his passing. Her favorite memories were spent with her late husband and involved listening to him strumming out chords on his guitar. Alongside turning the crisp pages of a book and word searches, she could be found crocheting unique creations, and tending to her garden. Betty did not simply pass away. She held the cure to death in her soul, with an active relationship with her Lord whom she worshiped with her church family at First Baptist Calhoun City.

She leaves behind an expansive family to continue moving down the path of life in her absence:  son Charles Scott (Joy) Alexander of Bruce, Mississippi, daughters: Patricia Cook of Bruce, Mississippi,  Melissa( Ed) Parker of Calhoun City, Mississippi, and  Mindy Leachman of Calhoun City, Mississippi, sixteen grandchildren: Shane (Ginger) Cook, Casey Cook, Chad (Holly) Cook, Shannon Cook, Rory (Stephanie) Alexander, Ryan Alexander, Travis (Beth) England, Tracy (Rusty) King, Lenon England, Jayce Leachman, Lacey (John) Herrington, Martin (Amy) White , Bradley White, Sara (Garret) Wester, Andrea (Chris) Dunn, nineteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and brother Jasper Wray “Buddy” Doler of Calhoun City.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lenon Ray White, parents, Jasper Doler and Pearl Inez Wray Doler, son Jimmy White, and three brothers: David Leon “DL” Doler, Walter Scott Doler, and Jimmy Dale Doler.

The private family funeral service remembering Betty's life will take place on Friday, January 15, 2021, at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary of First Baptist Calhoun City with Bro. Jimmy Vance and Bro. 1. Dear White Family, I am deeply sorry for your loss, and I would like to share a scripture with you. The scripture is found at Acts 24:15, here the Bible speaks of a time when God will bring loved ones, who have passed, back to life on the earth. This is a time many people look forward to, and they also find ikr comforting to know that they will be able to see their loved ones again. I hope this message brings the family comfort during this difficult time.
