Mary Jane Donegan Cummings was born December 24, 1959 unto the late L.C and Emma Mae Donegan in Okolona, Ms. She departed this life January 14, 2021 at North Mississippi Center in Tupelo, MS.

She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with Christ at Popular Spring C.M.E Church until she became a member of Friendship C.M.E where she was a faithful member. She served as the president of the usher board, stewardess and choir member until her death. She loved her Bible and family dearly .Mary married the love of her life Roy Lee Cummings August 21, 1982. They then became a blended family.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Roy Lee Cumming; as a loving mother her three sons: Garrick “Bo” Donegan of Shannon, MS; Jarvis (Faith) Cummings of Russellville, AL and Danzel (Kaley) Cummings of Columbus MS; five step-daughters: Missie Pugh of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; Angela (Benjamin) Williams of Fulton, MS; Melissa (Derek) Shumpert of Fulton, MS; LeeAnn Cummings of Tupelo, MS and Lashonda (Freddie) Harley of Tupelo, MS. Mary has 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mary has two sisters: Ella Faye Donegan McMorris “Gregory” of Shannon, MS and Sarah (Eddie) Davis of Oak Park, MI; ten sister-In-laws whom she considered her sisters Lela (Kelvin) Ivy, Earlene Morris-Agnew all of Dorsey, MS, Addie (Ray) Blanchard of Shannon, MS; Pearlene (Derrick) Jones of Locust Grove, GA; Lola Allen, Irene Osborne, Carrie Jones, Brenda Holiday, Vanessa Cummings and Sandra Stockard all of Tupelo, MS. Four brothers-in-laws: Robert (Brenda) Cummings, George (Alice) Cummings all of Pontotoc, MS; Chester Morris and Steve Cummings both of Tupelo, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, L.C. Donegan; mother, Emma Mae Miller Donegan; sister, Janice Donegan; two brothers, James Donegan and L.C. Donegan Jr. Mother-in-law, Lorene Holiday Morris; father-in-law, Willie Guy Cummings; brother-in-law Michael McMorris; brother-in-law James Cummings and great nephew Tray Williams.
