Theresa Lynn Russell, age 76, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021. Theresa was born March 27, 1944 in Houston, Texas.

Terry Lynn Russell was a devout Christian with strong beliefs in both providing a witness for Christ while on earth as well as her promised heavenly home with her family. She was a dedicated mother to her children and greatly enjoyed being both a grandmother and great grandmother relishing the opportunities to visit and have “playtime”. She had such a gentle soul with so much love in her heart to give and her family meant everything to her. She was inseparable from her dog Coco Chanel which was a part of the family and never left her side. She was a terrific cook and looked forward to the family visits where she could “make sure her kids had enough to eat”… She loved her sister Lynette dearly and looked forward to being reunited when God was ready for her to come home. She was able to always live near or with her kids enjoying time with grandchildren and great grandchildren watching them grow and enjoy life.

Terry worked as an office administrator for Occidental Chemical, Atmos Energy, the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and finally at the University of Mississippi in Oxford. The last several wonderful years of Terry’s life was spent living with her daughter Deanna enjoying the companionship, craft time, restaurants, Gatlinburg, meal planning, and listening to Christian radio continuing to build her faith in God and witnessing to her family.

Terry had a remarkable life, loved her children deeply, and was a tremendous influence on everyone around her. She passed peacefully on January 10, 2021, holding hands with Deanna, knowing it was time to go home. She is loved and will be deeply missed until we are reunited in Heaven.

Theresa was predeceased by her parents: Parker Paul Rosenauer and Voncille Rosenauer, and her sister: Lynette Person.

She is survived by her children: Deanna Russell of Knoxville, Tennessee, Kim Russell of Round Rock, Texas and Gerald Russell of Toney, Alabama; and her niece: Karen Person of Water Valley, Mississippi.

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Cassie Wallace of Round Rock Texas, Judy Wallace of Dallas Texas, Garrett Russell of Huntsville Alabama, Kristen Russell of Huntsville Alabama and Zachary Russell of Huntsville Alabama; her Great Grandchildren: Lillie Burris of Round Rock Texas, Korbin Burris of Round Rock Texas, Paislee Garner of Huntsville Alabama and a close friend: Tom Chesney of Knoxville Tennessee.

A graveside service will be held in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, Ms Friday March 26, 2021 at 3:00 PM.
