Mr. Charles Lucius “Buzz” Waller, 86, died Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North MS. A private graveside service will be held in Clear Creek Cemetery with Rev. Charles Lipe officiating.
Mr. Waller was a lifelong resident of Oxford and previously worked as a mechanic for Belk Ford before beginning his career with the Oxford School District. Until his retirement, he was devoted to his job as the Oxford School Bus Shop Superintendent while proudly serving in the Mississippi National Guard. Mr. Waller was a longtime and active member of Clear Creek Baptist Church, serving as Deacon and working as the church’s longtime custodian. His dedication to his faith and church was only matched by the devotion to his family. Mr. Waller was an ever-present father and grandfather and was blessed in his 65 years marriage to the love of his life, Mary Ann Palmertree Waller.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Charles R. Waller and his wife, Cindy of Oxford and Thomas A. Waller of Oxford; a sister, Mary Lee Waller of Oxford; two brothers, Nolan Waller and Ralph Waller of Oxford and three grandchildren, Lindsey Waller, Thomas A. Waller, Jr. and Sela N. Waller.
