Funeral service for Elsa J. Marlar, 92, are set for 2:00 pm Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Warren Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 to service time. Masks and social distancing guide lines will be in place.

Elsa Marlar died January 26, 2021 at Tishomingo Manor in Iuka, MS. She was born October 21, 1928 in Alcorn Co. MS to the late Morgan and Effie Taylor. She was the oldest member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and was retired from Wurlitzer. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marlar; parents; and three brother and five sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Landon Ray Marlar; Frankie Marlar (Brenda Hughes), and John Marlar (Terri); daughters, Jolayne Crowell (Phillip) and Patty Howell; a brother, Bobby Taylor (Donna); ten grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
