Ozella Morrow Jones was born in Monroe County on September30, 1941 to the late Josephious Morrow and Ina Bogan Morrow. She was a graduate of Sims High School in Nettleton, MS; graduating in 1963. She retired from MTD in Verona, MS after
working 30 plus years in 2002.

Ozella was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, James Jones on June 1, 1963. To this union, James and Ozella were blessed with two children, Lue B. McKinney and James E. Jones Jr. She loved to travel and spend time with her family.

Ozella accepted Christ at an early age, joining New Prospect M.B. Church in Nettleton, MS. She later moved her membership to Poplar Springs CME Church in Shannon, MS where she remained an active and faithful member until death. Ozella was formerly a Sunday School teacher for the children, president of the Stewardess board, a missionary, and she also served on the Board of Christian Education.

Ozella leaves to cherish her precious memories: her husband of 57 years, James Jones Sr.; two children, Lue B. McKinney(Tresher) of Shannon, MS and James E. Jones, Jr. of Nettleton, MS; four grandchildren: Ashley Gunn (William), Jarvis Jones, Keirstan McKinney, and Jamyra Jones; two bonus grandchildren, Lebron and Miracle; seven great-grandchildren: Alaysia, Donavan, Karson, Kylin, William Tyler, Samyia, and Anyla; one brother, Marion Morrow of Tupelo ,MS; two sisters, Sallie Dancer of Nettleton, MS and Maggie Harris of Gary, IN; four sisters-in-law: Betty Morrow, Margie Fells, Verlean Buchanan, and Connie Williams; four brothers-in-law: OdisJ ones, Jimmy Jones (Joyce), Rev. Carl Jones (Margie) and Willie Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ozella was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers: Josephious Morrow, Jr., Clarence Morrow, John Henry Morrow, Hosea Morrow, and Theophilus Morrow, Sr. and two sisters, Mary Thompson and Doris Morrow.
