Funeral Services for Irene Ozbirn, 85, are set for 1:00 pm Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in Magnolia Gardens. Rev. Harold King will officiate the service. Visitation will be held Tuesday 11:00 until service time. Masks and social distancing guide lines will be in place.
Irene died Sunday, February 7, 2021 at MS Care Center. She was born in Alcorn Co. on December 22, 1935 to the late Gold Dust & Daisy Cantrell. She married her sweetheart, Charlie Ozbirn on April 20, 1957. Irene was a member of West Corinth Baptist Church and enjoyed growing pretty flowers and collecting salt/pepper shakers and music boxes.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Daisy Ozbirn; her parents; a brother, Cecil Cantrell; and sisters, Lola Mae Gahagan, Loraine Treece and Janie Herrmann.
She is survived by her son, Darnell (Donna) Ozbirn; grandson, Daniel Ozbirn; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Daniels and Ruth Harris; a brother-in-law, Calvin Ozbirn; and a host of nieces and nephews.
