Aberdeen – James Rubel Seymore, 82 went to meet the Lord on February 16, 2021, at his residence. Born on May 11, 1938, in Shannon, Mississippi, he was the son of the late William ‘Bill’ and Edna Warren Seymore.

James attended school in Amory and was a 1956 graduate of Becker High School. On December 24, 1956 he married the love-of-his-life.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years. Then he worked at Columbus Air Force Base in various positions for 20 years. He enjoyed reading his Bible, watching western movies, reading western books, and watching Dale Earnhart and his son Dale Jr .racing. A very generous man he was passionate about helping others.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Brenda West Seymore, Aberdeen, his three Daughters, Kathy Lynn Sisk (Ronnie) of Gulfport, Mississippi, Joann Sherfield of Aberdeen, Vickie Randall-Craton (Tom), of Big Canoe, Georgia., Sisters Mary Eudell Hall (James), Linda Hurley (Jimmy), Lola Adams (Alan), a brother Charles, all of Amory. Grandsons Michael Lashbrook (Danielle), Russell 'Rusty’ Lashbrook, Ocean Springs, Mississippi, James 'Jimmy’ Lashbrook, Meridian, Mississippi, and Austin Randall, Atlanta, Georgia. Granddaughters Jessica Reese Smith, (Jason) Alachua, Florida, Amber Nicole Sherfield, Wichita, Kansas , and Lindsay Cornwell (Sam), Athens, Georgia, great-grandsons Gabriel Lashbrook, Tilden James Cornwell and Jase Smith. Great-granddaughter, Everly Mae Cornwell.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two infant sons, an infant daughter and a brother John.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Butch Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Beeks Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service from 1 PM until 1:45 PM.

Pallbearers will be Michael Lashbrook, Austin Randall, Phillip Moore, Charles Holcomb, James Hall, and Larry Warren.
