Rita Joy Sistrunk Oswalt passed away on February 28, 2021 at OCH Regional Hospital in Starkville, MS. She was a homemaker and a loyal member of Adaton Baptist Church. Rita loved her family, local friends as well as friends from other countries, animals, and often served as a mother to her many friends.
Rita is survived by her daughter Kay Oswalt Ratcliff, and her husband Kenneth of Shuqualak; son, Rob Oswalt, and his wife Yun of Starkville; three grandchildren, James Oswalt, Timothy Ratcliff, and Mabel Oswalt; two great grandchildren, Eden Ratcliff and Kellen Ratcliff. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Oswalt; brother, Bobby Sistrunk; parents, Robert Lee Sistrunk and Eloise Clardy Sistrunk.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Adaton Baptist Church Cemetery.
