Mary Jean House, age 64, of Southaven, MS died Sunday, March 14, 2021, with family by her side. She was born January 26, 1957, in Memphis TN to the late Jake and Celester (Dickey) House. Mary was born with Downs Syndrome and held a very special place in the hearts of her entire family. But she never let her disability get in the way. Before her health got her down, Mary worked at the Desoto Industries where she made hand made lamp shades. She was a very loving person and always felt she had much to teach people about disabilities. She loved coloring and food, especially McDonalds hamburgers.

Visitation is planned for Thursday, March 18, 2020, in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Billy Childs officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Liberty Cemetery.

Mary is survived by one sister, Anne Cowens (Jerry) of Southaven, MS; two brothers, Cecil House (Betty) of Lake Cormorant, MS, Jerry House (Gwen) of Hernando, MS; and a special sister-in-law, Nina House.

Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by one brother, Elton House; and one sister, Betty Langston.
