A service to celebrate the life of Ruth Annette Trantham, 83, will be held Friday at 1:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Methodist Cemetery. Bro. Kara Blackard and Bro. Josh Westmoreland will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 am until service time.

Mrs. Trantham died on March 23, 2021 at Madison County Regional Hospital in Jackson. She was born in Corinth on January 5, 1938 to the late Millard and Mattie Ruth Phillips. She worked 42 years at ITT until her retirement in 2000. She was member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. She was well known for her flowers and loved to share them with her community.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Watson (Tommy) and Donna Watson; grandchildren, Danny Settlemires, Amanda Simon (Todd), Pat Settlemires, Will Watson (Courtney), Josie Watson, Callie Watson, Benjamen Watson, William Watson and Chelsea Watson; and her great-grandchildren, Ember Rose Watson and Blakely Price Bingham.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Trantham and an infant brother, Jimmy.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Newcomb, Ronnie Arnold, Danny Settlemires, Pat Settlemires, Ben Watson and William Watson.
