Mrs. Rose Marie Bourdin Harvey, 84, died Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Oxford Health and Rehab in Oxford, MS. The funeral service will be Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Don Gann and Rev. Robert Allen officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:00 at the church. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Mrs. Harvey was born in Pass Christian, MS to the late Adolph and Lelia Courtenay Bourdin. She was a longtime branch manager with Regions Bank and a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Oxford. She found great joy in the time she spent with her Karis II Sunday School class and in the nursery caring for the smallest church members. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed quilting, was an exceptional cook and was delighted anytime she could gather with her family around the table for a homecooked meal. She enjoyed spending time gardening and often cooked with her fresh vegetables. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harvey was preceded in death by a son, William Thomas Harvey.

She is survived by her husband of almost 64 years, Ara J. Harvey of Oxford; two sons, Ara J. “Buddy” Harvey, Jr. and his wife, Jan of Hernando, MS and Brian D. Harvey and his wife, Elizabeth of Oxford; a sister, Lelia Blizzard of Mount Eagle, TN; a brother, Robert Bourdin of Pass Christian, MS and five grandchildren, William Thomas Harvey of Oxford, Robert Thomas Harvey of Hernando, John McCormick Harvey of Oxford, Kathryn Marie Harvey of Hernando and Michael David Harvey of Oxford.
