David Nowell

David Nowell (56) passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. David was an elder and song leader at Strickland Church of Christ. He enjoyed music, gardening, his greenhouse and helping his students. He was a FFA Advisor, 4H Advisor for Alcorn County and he was on the Farm Bureau Board of Alcorn County. David was a proud grandfather.

Services will be 2:00 Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Strickland Church of Christ with Caleb Nowell, Brad Dillingham and Terry Smith officiating. Visitation will be 11-2 on Saturday at the church. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery.

David is survived by his wife, Cindy Nowell of Glen; his daughters, Anna Nowell of Glen and Sarah Robinson (Bart) of Glen; his son, Caleb Nowell (Grace) of Amory; his parents, Lennis and Janice Nowell; his grandchildren, Ayden & Emma Robinson; his grandmother, Bernice Voyles; his mother-in-law, Wanda Sue Fowler; his sister, Emily Kendrick (Dale) of Booneville; his brother-in-law, Adam Fowler (Paula) and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Olen Voyles and his father-in-law, George Wayne Fowler.

Pallbearers will be; Tommy Nowell, Isaiah Nowell, Bart Robinson, Adam Fowler, Mike Coln and Gary Walden. Honorary will be Dale and Ethan Kendrick.
