Betty Sue True, ag 81, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the Yalobusha County Nursing Home. She was born February 25, 1940, in Oakland, MS to the late Walter and Ivory (Barton) Rotenberry. After graduating from high school, Sue started, and spent her career in the manufacturing industry working at a number of different companies including Pennaco in Grenada, Kellwood in Coffeeville, Ram Tool, Holley, and ultimately retiring at age 71 from Borg Warner in Water Valley. She enjoyed Gaither Gospel singings, Water Valley Blue Devil and Ole Miss Football, as well as gardening.
Visitation is planned for Friday, April 30, 2021, in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Services will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday May 1, 2021 in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks. Burial will be in Ford’s Well Cemetery.
Sue is survived by one son, Lane True (Kathy); two granddaughters, Anna True, Courtney Norris; and one great-granddaughter.
Along with her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Stanley True; two brothers, Clifton Terry Rotenberry and Jerry “Bo“ Rotenberry.
