Jonathan David “Jon” Michael

West Point, MS – Our community sadly lost a pillar on Thursday, May 6, 2021, when Jonathan David Michael, favorably known as Breeze, passed away from cancer. He was born February 22, 1971 and recently celebrated his 50th birthday. His congratulations to many lives include being a wonderful example as a fine Christian who loved our Savior very much. He was well known as being a loving husband and father. Also, Jon was a very hard worker as a welder all over the country. Jon is survived by his loving children Brandy, Heather, Justin, and Gabriel. He is also survived by his mother Janice Faye Mobley, along with a brother, James Garner and a sister, Susie Michael. Jon's legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with, as well as those he reached but never met.
Come help celebrate his life by meeting at the river, where he loved to fish, on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 3:00 pm at the Columbus side of the Lock and Dam on Wilkins-Wise Road.
