Celebration of life service for Cora V. Dillingham Smith, 89, is set for 1:00 pm Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home with Dr. Kara Blackard and Bro. Steve Byrd officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday 11:30 to 12:45 pm. Burial will follow in Wheeler Grove Cemetery.

Surrounded by her family, Cora peacefully transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home on June 12, 2021. She was born December 5, 1931 and was a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church.

She was greeted by her Lord and Savior; her husband, James Roy Smith; her parents, Josh and Hester Rose Dillingham; son, Jerry Wayne Smith; sisters, Lottie Price and her husband Raymond, Lula Chambers; and brothers, Odel Dillingham and James Dillingham.

Ms. Smith is survived by her daughters, Peggy Harvell (Terry), Kathy Hastings, Sheri Cosby (Daniel), Betty Farris (Jerry); sister, Mary Isbell; grandchildren, Kim Newcomb (Jeff), Heather Smith (Jason), Jay Farris, Desarae Merryman; bonus grandson, Morris Jason Mottz; great-grandchildren, Bryson Farris Smith, Joshua Newcomb (Madison), Wheatley and Olivia Anders; bonus great-grandchild, McKinzey Mottz; great-great-grandchildren, Kai Elias Newcomb; and many nieces, nephews and her Wheeler Grove Church family.
