Brenda Lea Kilgore, age 57, of Water Valley, MS died Monday, June 21, 2021, at her home surrounded by family after an extended illness. She was born May 9, 1964, in Oxford, MS to the late Milton and Gwendolyn (Tabor) Musick. Brenda was a traditional wife whose passion was serving her family as a homemaker. When she wasn’t serving her family, she found great joy in music, working in her flowers, especially roses, and cooking for special occasions. Her specialty, with the family and those that knew her, was her homemade peach cobbler that was “everyone's favorite”. But what brought the greatest pleasure to her heart were her grandchildren.

Visitation is planned for Friday, June 25, 2021, in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Services will immediately follow at 3:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Coffeeville, MS.

Brenda is survived by her husband of thirty-five years, Leonard Kilgore; three daughters, Jennifer Littlejohn (John), Lauren Kilgore, all of Water Valley, MS, Georgia Kilgore of Coffeeville, MS; four grandchildren; one sister, Linda Allgood (Jimmy) of Oxford, MS; and one niece, Angie Crouse.

As well as her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by one son, Jonathan Kilgore.
