Joann Williams, 76, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021, at her home in Jacinto, MS. Joann was born October 27, 1944, to Elbert Lawrence Allen and Mary Maudie Henderson. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and cooking for her family. She enjoyed gardening; especially growing and eating cherry tomatoes and tending to her roses.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, July 5, 2021, in the Chapel of Booneville Funeral Home. Visitation for Mrs. Williams will be Monday, July 5, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. There will be no graveside services. Bro. Don Boren will be officiating. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her sons, Rayland Williams (Melissa) of Michie, TN.
and Royce Earl Williams of Eastview, TN.
Three sisters; Rita Faye Brimingham and Connie Eloise Newman of Corinth, and Tammie Sue Dolan (Thurman) of Russelville, AL. Her brothers Harry Lee Allen (Ellen) of Hills Chapel, and Kenneth Earl Allen of Iuka. Her granddaughters; Amber Simmons of Eastview, TN, Mekyland Williams and Taland Williams of Michie, TN. Grandsons; Andy Williams of Corinth, Shawn Williams and Billy Wayne Nunley of Jacinto.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Williams; a son, Johnny Williams; a daughter, Rita Nunley, a brother, Lloyd Allen, two sisters, Lucy Scruggs and Cathy Taylor; a nephew, Jonathan Taylor; and a brother-in-law, Eulice Brimingham.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Williams, Andy Williams, Billy Nunley, Skyler Miller, Mike Davis and Chuck Landry.
