Mr. Michael William Latvala, 61, died at his residence in Oxford, MS on Saturday, July 31, 2021. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Mike was born on March 5, 1960 in Socorro, New Mexico to the late Woodrow John and Estelle Houston Latvala. He was a kind and caring person who never met a stranger and would do anything to help anyone. Mike loved the outdoors, especially fishing and raising his own catfish. After growing up and residing in Florida for most of his life he moved to Oxford in 2014 to care for his stepfather and his late mother. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Batesville and had put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ.
Survivors include his stepfather, John Kiger of Oxford, MS; his brother, Jack Latvala and his wife, Connie Prince of Dunedin, FL; his niece and nephew, Stephanie Courson and Christopher Latvala.
