Mrs. Rena Tidwell Thweatt, 53, died Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North MS. The funeral service will be Monday, August 16, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Shook officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Eastover Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Tidwell was a loving mother and a devoted Christian who enjoyed reading and studying her Bible. She enjoyed sewing, crafting and was a skilled quilter. She previously worked in various medical offices as a receptionist. Later in life, she found great joy and comfort in collecting “reborn” baby dolls.

Mrs. Thweatt is survived by her husband, Ronnie Thweatt of Oxford; her mother, Mary Tidwell of Oxford; her biological mother, Betty Jean Tynes; two daughters, Maddy Dorris of Bruce, MS and Shannon Thweatt of New York; two sons, Christian Dorris and Zack Dorris both of Oxford, MS; a half-brother, Wayne Carroll of Flowood, MS and five grandchildren.
